PHP

PHP is a general purpose scripting language geared towards web development. It is used to manage dynamic content databases and even build e-commerce sites.

It is integrated by number of popular databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL server.

PHP is considered a backend scripting language.

PHP scripts are usually written on a server that the frontend or client side code with interact with.

PHP files can contain text, HTML CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code.

PHP can add, delete, modify data in your database. * Database Language Database languages are set of statements that are used to define and manipulate a database.

A Database language has Data Definition Language ( DDL) which is used to construct a database which consist of create alter drop, rename, comment and it has Data Manipulation Language (DML), which is used to access a database which consist o select, insert, update, delete, merge, call, explain plan.

In addition to data control language ( commit, rollback, savepoint, transaction), and transaction control language (grant, revoke) MySQL is a database management system based on SQL ( Structured Query Language). The application is used for a wide range o purposes including data warehousing, e-commerce, and logging applications.
