The September TIOBE Index is out in the market and the C programming language is at the top of the list. However, Python is slowly making its way towards the top position with the rating percentage difference between C and Python of 0.16 points only.
It is likely that Python will be the most popular programming language by next month and will manage to surpass the C programming language.
Last November, Python reached the number two spot and has maintained the flow with a step-down or help the second spot. However, for the past two months, Python has been in second place.
The TIOBE index is determined by the searches on languages that rely on the algorithm or formula that fetch data from search engines such as Bing, Google, YouTube, and Yahoo. The skilled engineers, third-party vendors, and courses are also analysed to determine the popularity of the programming language.
In the PYPL list, Python is already dominating the market and in the WMK Language list released in June 2021 too, Python was ranked second.
Java has moved from the second spot to the third in the past year whereas Assembly language has gone from the 14th spot to the eighth.
