What we expect:

• At least 3 years of solid C/C++ experience;

• Solid understanding in Networking (IP, routing) and/or experience in network programming (VPP, DPDK, XDP);

• Agile mindset

• Git;

• Confident Linux knowledge;

Skills we will consider as advantage (the most important goes first):

• Experience with Clouds (preferably AWS)

• Experience with Go language

• Experience with Docker and k8s

• Mobile Telco knowledge (Understand mobile core network structure, standards)

Here is the description of what we are doing to explain whole responsibility of the team:

The client is a virtual telecom service provider for IoT. We have no own data centers and use benefits of AWS instead.

We create cloud-native telecom network nodes in AWS. These nodes and infrastructure around are deployed in Docker containers using frameworks such as Terraform, Serverless, AWS CDK. We do that automatically through CI/CD of Gitlab. Due to network specifics, we also work with routing and put emphasis on efficient, performant data processing. We use lots of Amazon Web Services, not just EC2. We speak Go and C languages in business logic area and TypeScript in infrastructure definitions.

If person has 2 techs from description above among his primary skills – it makes him a good candidate.

Another good-to-have quality is technical curiosity. “Willing to learn”. Usually it reflected via pet projects, open-source project contributions, innovations on prev. jobs and any other demonstration of voluntary acquisition of new techs.
