Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Lebanon, TN for a Senior Backend Developer (PHP). The Senior Backend Developer (PHP) will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient services and APIs to support our web and mobile applications. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, propose solutions, and develop new features, as well as mentor and coach less experienced developers on best practices and design principles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in backend development with PHP and related frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend
Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Experience with RESTful API design and integration
Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure providers
Strong understanding of software development processes including code reviews and testing methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
