CarrierX is a scalable CPaaS and telecom API provider with its own network, giving developers powerful tools to build enterprise-ready applications and services.

We are seeking a senior Python backend developer to lead the development of various internal tools, web applications, and software projects. This position is fully remote, but the job will require frequent coordination with our headquarters in LEBANON.

An ideal fit would be someone with broad technical knowledge and experience diving into legacy code. We move fast and work in a wide variety of areas, so you should be able to take a little chaos in stride while driving progress in multiple areas at once.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Engineering leadership in the LB

• Take ownership of the planning, execution, deployment, and operations of various

components and applications.

• Work with other technical teams and departments to deploy fully working solutions.

• Be a strong advocate for code simplicity.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and spoken communication in English

• Working hours are flexible, but there must be some overlap with the LEBANON timezone throughout the week

• Able to work independently on multiple projects and tasks

• Strong coding ability and fluency in Python. Some knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.

• Broad knowledge of relational databases, task queues, and NoSQL databases

• Understanding of REST APIs and other forms of integration

Experience with any of the following items would be a strong plus:

• Working with large volumes of data, especially telecom CDRs

• Telecom programming - Twilio, Asterisk

• Protocol knowledge - SIP, SMPP
