Role Description
The WordPress Developer position at WMK Tech is a full-time on-site role located in Lebanon, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining WordPress websites and plugins. The WordPress Developer will also work to ensure compatibility with different web browsers and across multiple devices. Key day-to-day tasks include working with the marketing team and using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to ensure relevant, accessible, and user-friendly WordPress sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in WordPress development
- Expertise in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Proficient in website performance optimization, debugging, and data security best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience with other Content Management Systems (CMS) like Joomla and Drupal
- Proficient in WordPress REST API
- Exposure to Agile project management methodologies
